W. Charles Witzleben is the founding principal of the firm. He has over thirty years experience in advancement work. Since entering the consulting field in 1986, he has successfully served more than eighty organizations in the improvement of their management and fund raising programs and planning and executing capital campaigns. All of his clients have successfully completed their campaigns. Goals for clients range from $2 million to $1 billion. His previous experience includes serving as the chief advancement officer for the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center of Emory University and other senior development positions at Emory University and Mercer University. He is active in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and Association of Fundraising Professionals; is a two-term trustee of Durham Academy; former trustee and chair of The Hill Center; Immediate Past Chair of The Sarah P. Duke Gardens of Duke University and served as chair of the Duke Chapel campaign steering committee of The Campaign for Duke.
He is a member of the Wofford College Parents Advisory Council. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University and completed graduate work in business at Georgia State University.

Ms. Haltom retired as Vice President and University Secretary for Duke University, the senior administrative officer for the Board of Trustees. She is an expert in Board governance, board development, and presidential and senior administrative searches. She served for ten years as Director of Annual Giving at Duke University and chaired numerous annual giving conferences for CASE. Her career and volunteer service has focused on education. She is a past member of the Board of Trustees of University of North Carolina - Asheville, past member and board chair of Durham Academy, and past member of Davidson College Parents Council. She is currently on the Board of Trustees of the North Carolina School for the Arts and the Board of Trustees of The Hill Center, where she is immediate past board chair. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Duke University.

Philip G. Mazzara specializes in advancement programs for research universities, hospitals and health care centers, and public policy institutes. Mr. Mazzara has previously served as Vice President for Private Support for CARE, President of the Saint Joseph’s Hospital Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia and chief advancement officer of The Carter Center, Rochester Institute of Technology, and the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center of Emory University. Mr. Mazzara is currently Senior Vice President of the Jefferson Foundation of Thomas Jefferson University.

Richard L. “Skip” Moore’s thirty year tenure in higher education administration includes management of university advancement and senior leadership positions in continuing education, institutional computing and technology, strategic planning and institutional management. He is the President of the Weaver Foundation in Greensboro, North Carolina. Previously he served the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as Vice Chancellor for Planning and Administration and Vice Chancellor for University Advancement. He also held administrative positions at the University of Memphis and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

John W. Stephenson specializes in the area of foundation programs and in the establishment of public and private foundations. Mr. Stephenson is the Executive Director of the J. Bulow Campbell Foundation in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the past president of the Southeastern Council on Foundations. Previously he served as the Vice President for Development at Emory University and chief development officer at the University of Texas at Dallas.
